In Loving Memory of Ann Bradford

In Loving Memory of Ann Bradford
A Mother’s Love — Given Freely, Carried Always, Remembered in the Arms of Eternity

As we honour the memories of those who have departed, we find solace in knowing that love never truly fades. It lingers in the soft whisper of the wind, in the laughter of those who remain, and in the quiet stillness of our hearts. Her legacy isn’t found in the sorrow of loss — it lives and breathes in the beauty of the love she left behind.
This afternoon, we received the call that Clive’s Mom had gone to be with the Lord and even through the tears, there is something holy in that sentence.
Gone to be with the Lord.
She is no longer in pain. She is no longer carrying the weight that this earthly life pressed upon her frail and faithful frame. She has been received — welcomed home into the arms of the One who loved her before she drew her very first breath on this earth.
Today, we celebrate her. Ann Bradford — a mother and grandmother who laid down her life so that her boys could rise. A woman who poured herself out in sacrifice and unconditional love for Clive and Graham. A mother who didn’t hold her love back, didn’t measure it out in portions, didn’t make them earn what she gave so freely. She loved without condition, without reservation, without end.
That kind of love doesn’t just disappear when the body goes home. It echoes. It shapes. It forms the very character of the ones it touched.
“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13
You laid yours down, Mum. In ways seen and unseen, in choices made quietly and sacrifices never spoken of — you gave up something so they could have something better. That is a mother’s courage. That is a mother’s grace.
We grieve, yes — grief is the honest language of love. We don’t hide from it. We let it move through us like a tide, knowing that on the other side of every wave is the solid shore of God’s faithfulness.
You will be missed. You are honoured. You are deeply, deeply loved.
Rest now, dear Mom. Rest in the peace that surpasses all understanding. Rest in the light that never dims, in the joy that has no ending, in the presence of a Saviour who knows your name.
We will carry you with us — in our laughter, in our remembering, in the way we love each other well.
Until we see you again.
💞With all our love — Clive, Patrizia, Jesse & Misha
Heavenly Father,
We come to You today with heavy hearts and tear-filled eyes, yet with a quiet and settled trust in Your goodness. You are the God who holds every breath, who numbers every day, who catches every tear — and today, Father, we need to feel the warmth of Your nearness more than ever.
Thank You for Ann. Thank You for the life You breathed into her, for the love You placed within her, for the courage You gave her to sacrifice and serve the sons You entrusted to her care. Her life was a gift. Her love was a reflection of Yours — patient, steadfast, unconditional, and freely given.
Lord, we grieve — and we don’t apologise for that. You wept at the tomb of Lazarus, and You weep with us now. Meet Clive and Graham in this tender, sacred space of loss. Hold them with hands that are stronger than sorrow. Let them feel the comfort that only You can give — the kind that doesn’t explain away the pain, but sits gently within it and transforms it into something holy.
Remind them, Father, that Ann’s suffering is over. That she is held in perfect peace, in perfect wholeness, in the fullness of Your presence. No more pain. No more tears. Only glory.
Guard their memories of her. Let them treasure the laughter, the warmth, the small and sacred moments that made her her. Let her legacy of love continue to shape and inspire the generations that follow.
For all who mourn today — for every heart carrying the tender ache of missing her — be their Comforter, their Healer, their very present help. Wrap Your arms around this family and hold them close through every wave of grief that comes.
You are the Resurrection and the Life. You are the God of all comfort. You are faithful — yesterday, today, and forever.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” — Revelation 21:4
