I didn't get to spend any painting time in my studio last week due to preparations for tomorrow night's anniversary celebration & vow renewals. These pours were done last weekend.

We're heading off to Christchurch on Sunday for that honeymoon we couldn't afford when we first got married, so I won't be home next week to get any painting done either...

It started as a bit of fun. I uploaded a photo, typed a prompt and waited to see which little mascot would appear beside my cartoon self. I expected one. Instead, three arrived — and somewhere in the fullness of this season, I hadn't realised how quietly I'd forgotten the words to my own song.
