During this week's group we discussed how often we feel inadequate to do what God has called us to do & how some of the greats in Bible have dealt with the exact same limiting beliefs. When I read this Scripture the other day, it struck me that the exact same excuses Moses voices here have held me back from stepping into my purpose for decades.

So often I've had all these words running through my brain, but when I want to speak, I stammer & struggle to remember what I meant to say. I'm not eloquent either and just as much slow of speech & slow of tongue in certain environments. Just saying something in a group setting causes a major tug of war inside of me for even having an opinion.

A couple of weeks ago my coach had me draw up an affirmation statement to replace my limiting belief, "What I say has no value" with God's Truth. Just reading it out loud has been a struggle at first. I'm still working at memorising it but will keep on until it's stuck in my brain.

Now I take comfort in the fact that it is not I who speaks but the Holy Spirit will speak through me to bring comfort & healing to all in my sphere of influence.

Then Moses said to the Lord , “O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.” So the Lord said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the Lord ? Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say.” Exodus 4:10‭-‬12 NKJV
